The original University of Missouri chapter house, at 906 S. Providence, was built in 1923 in a Tudor style. It was later remodeled to the current structure in 1955 – doubling its size.
Major renovations were complete in 2009 through 2011 for new bathrooms, a library and bedroom furniture. Omicron also owns an apartment-style annex, the Alpha Phi Honors Lodge, behind the house which was completely remodeled in the fall of 2011 including new bathrooms, furniture, kitchen, study lounge and flooring. The Honors Lodge is reserved for those chapter members whose GPA falls within the top 20th percentile.
The beautiful white house now stands proud on one of MU’s main through-ways. Recently, Alpha Phi was honored with a Citation of Commendation from the Federated Garden Club of Columbia for its lush and colorful flower gardens, which help to beautify the city.
